Scope and Contents Oral History interview done of Moses S. Penton (Pensacola Police Chief in 1923 and Sheriff of Escambia County, Florida,1924-1934) on the topic "The Police Department and Crime in Pensacola, 1912-1915."  Topics covered inlcude bars, aloos, prostitution, the Red Light district and major crimes.  The original interview was probably done in 1970 on reel tape (3 3/4 ips), converted to audiocassette 1/5/1971 by the University, donated to Special Collections probably in 1971 and converted to digital...
