Summary Note
Walker Wilmer Thomas (Walker W. Thomas) of 429 N. DeVillier St., Pensacola, Florida was a newspaper columnist for The Freeman (Indianapolis, IN: an African-American newspaper), reporting on black society.
&nnsp; The March 22, 1913 column notes the visit of Mrs. Booker T. Washington to Pensacola to the Pensacola Federation of Colored Garden Clubs and her stay with Dr. and Mrs. A. G. Williams and her address at Allen A.M.E. Chapel as well as other Pensacola social events of the African-American community in March 1913.
