Albert Klein Jewelers (Pensacola, Fla.)
Summary Note
Albert Klein was 15 years of age, living in Wurzburg, Germany in 1899, where he finished his apprenticeship and was awarded his Watchmakers Certificate. He came to the United States and settled in Mobile, Alabama. He came to Pensacola in 1907 to found Albert Klein, Jewelers on Palafox Street in Pensacola.
&nnsp; This photograph shows the location of the shop next to the Saenger Theater.
&nnsp; This photograph was part of the travelling statewide exhibit on Jewish history in Florida, titled MOSAIC in 1991. At each exhibition, certain panels were changed to include photographs and objects loaned by local Jewish families and congregations. While at UWF in 1991, the panels told stories of Pensacola and Milton families.
