Summary Note

Shown is the wedding of Richard G. Cohn and Thelma S. in 1946, one of the first postwar weddings in Pensacola, held at Temple Beth-El. Attendants were Terese Frenkel McClure, Harold Schops, Leonard Frank, George Wagenheim, Amelia Klein Wagonheim, Marion Lischkoff, and Ann Gundersheimer Schops.

  &nnsp; Richard passed away on January 31, 2011 at age of 91. In addition to his World War II service, he worked for St. Regis Paper Company, and was a highly dedicated officer of Temple Beth-El, a stalwart member of Cantonment Rotary Club, and active in the Pensacola Bridge Club.

  &nnsp; Thelma passed away on December 23, 2012 at age 92. She was a graduate of Pensacola High School, and of Louisiana State University, where she was president of Sigma Delta Tau sorority. She was a dedicated member of the Sisterhood at Temple Beth-El, and active in the Pensacola Bridge Club.

  &nnsp; This photograph was part of the travelling statewide exhibit on Jewish history in Florida, titled MOSAIC in 1991. At each exhibition, certain panels were changed to include photographs and objects loaned by local Jewish families and congregations. While at UWF in 1991, the panels told stories of Pensacola and Milton families.
