Summary Note
This photograph appeared in the 1912 Annual Edition of The Florida Sentinel, an African American newspaper published in Pensacola, Florida, May 1912. The feature of the annual edition is a long article with photographs of Booker T. Washington's tour of Florida, visiting Jacksonville, Ocala, Tampa, and Tallahassee. In the article appears this photograph noting the train stopped at DeFuniak Springs where Booker T. Washington talked with waiting African Americans from his train car.
