Peter Chester became the fifth and last Governor of West Florida, serving from August 10, 1770 until the capture by the Spanish on May 9, 1781.

Image from 8 x 10 glossy photograph, Ellsworth Research Collection (M1982-13), University Archives and West Florida History Center. Image is no. 24, used in Pensacola, the Deep Water City. Although photograph is unmarked, a credit in the book is given as coming from the Biblotecha Nacional, Belles Letres section. Published source is unknown for this obviously published engraving.
