Records of the University of West Florida Press, 1973- , part of the University Presses of Florida, including board minutes, reports, financial statements, correspondence, and related materials. Includes files of manuscripts in process including correspondence, editing drafts and comments, copies of reviews and publicity materials, and records of UWF Editorial Committee.

The University of West Florida Press is part of the University Presses of Florida (UPF) whose main office is in Gainesville. A Board of Advisors made up of representatives from each of the individual University Press coordinate the activities of the UPF. Consequently, the records consist of both records of UPF and the records of UWF Press activities.

Open to researchers, dependent on our compliance with U.S. Copyright Law. HIPPA requirements, donor agreements and other applicable state and federal statutes. Occasionally we may need to review a collection before permitting immediate access.

Permission may be granted by the Special Collections Librarian for such reprography dependent on issues of copyright, ownership, condition, donor agreements, etc. In general, staff do not make reproductions of copyright materials or materials for which title is not owned by the institution. Recent revisions in the U.S. Copyright Law extended the copyright of correspondence, letters, and other personal papers to the life of the author plus seventy years.
