OTHER INFORMATION:

The Faculty Council was composed of faculty representatives elected from Alpha and Omega Colleges. In 1979, after the creation of the three Colleges (Arts and Science, Education, Business), the Faculty Council was renamed as the Faculty Senate. Its actions are reported to the Vice President for Academic Affairs.

Special Collections also has the records of the Faculty Senate that are part of the Vice President for Academic Affairs files. These are more complete including correspondence, memoranda, and other working papers, and reflect the Senate and its activities as perceived by the VPAA office.

Permission may be granted by the Special Collections Librarian for such reprography dependent on issues of copyright, ownership, condition, donor agreements, etc. In general, staff do not make reproductions of copyright materials or materials for which title is not owned by the institution. Recent revisions in the U.S. Copyright Law extended the copyright of correspondence, letters, and other personal papers to the life of the author plus seventy years.
