Records, 1968-2017, of the University of West Florida, University Commons and Student Activities, consisting of files on student organizations including honor societies, religious, fraternal, professional, special interest, and academic student groups. Records include charters, bylaws, membership and officer lists, organization activities, and annual filings.

Processing Information

For inventory purposes, each folder has been numbered in order to preserve the original order of the records which themselves may not be strictly alphabetical. These folder numbers do not appear on the original records but will help staff to retrive the files. In addition, as received, the original files had been organized into series (e.g. Academic, Honor, etc.); we have retained these headings but only when they appeared in the records as a tab folder. Note that there are duplicate folders for organizations scattered in the collection and that terms for searching may need to be expanded by the user (e.g. Blacks, African-American, NAACP, etc.)
