Cover title of the booklet reads "Public School Reminiscences by Edna L. Maclay." This 12-page booklet gives a listing chronologically term by term of teachers, classes, places used for school, textbooks, a history of education from 1870 through 1886 and lists of textbooks, as well as names of school board members.

Included also are papers relating to Jesse Thomas, Ruby Robinson, I.A. Allen, Felix Robinson and other relatives of Mrs. Thomas, as well as imprints of educational interest in Santa Rosa and Escambia counties, 1920-1970.
